Six of us went to The Kitchen for dinner at 7:30 pm on Sunday night .The restaurant are full even on a non holidays . They let you make reservations if you are party of six or more . They have a parking lot next to the restaurant so it is convenient. All the items we ordered are excellent . I think the chef ‍ has excellent skills and the prices are very reasonable. Food portions are generous . The only draw back is their restroom . It looks old and hard to maintain with some used paper towel or toilet paper seat coves on the floor . Dishes we ordered are Chicken soup with fish mew and fish lip , very tasty and served in hot temperatures. I tried this soup at lunch time and it was not good like less chicken soup inside . I suspect it was cooked by a different chef . We ordered the crispy pork knuckle Macy style . This one is a win win item with the price $17.95 , texture and taste ! We tried the basil tiger prawn and stir fried grass fish filet with chives in the chef special menu . The tiger prawn is big and crispy but the tastes are on the shelves and not the prawn . It is the dish I may not order again . Store fry grass fish 鯇魚filet are so nicely cooked. I love all the chives and ginger and seasonings! Tasted excellent. Everyone love the stir fried mushrooms ( various type of mushrooms) with chicken filet . Another masterpiece from the chef ! It was so good that we ordered an extra order to go ! This is an authentic Cantonese restaurant with the high ranking cooking skills . It was on the Michelin star award for 3 years in the past . I do hope that they can improve their restroom conditions. Service is good , polite and efficient. Their lunch has a good dim sum menu . That was in my other reviews.

Best truffle roast duck! Salted egg yolk prawn was not enough seasoning but still ok. Pekin duck was so k but the skin needs to be crispier and seperated from the meat more. Peking spareribs was good but need more orange peel, toumiau was good, fried rice and noodles truffle duck was just ok. Tofu Japanese with ground pork was good.

Visited on a Sunday for lunch with family, and the place was packed with people waiting for a table. Upon arrival, you're given a number, and they call parties based on table availability for their group size. We waited about 25-30 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We ordered a variety of dim sum, but the standout items were the baked BBQ bun and the wasabi chicken combo. The wasabi chicken, in particular, is a must-try and easily one of the highlights of the restaurant. Service was fast, and the staff were attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable.

Unreal food, might be some of the best I've had in SF so far. The food was great big portions and just great bang for your buck. Service is expected: busy, prompt and if you need something you need to figure it out. That'sa a Chinese resto for you but that's how you know the food is good

Legit dim sum with the fam reminiscent of flavors I grew up with in SF. Got the staples and was happy with everything. Teapot kept the tea at the right temp throughout the meal. I love that they still push the food carts around since lots of places don't have this feature anymore. Service is fast and efficient and the place was packed but didn't feel crowded. I enjoyed the communal atmosphere. I left satisfied and would def come back again.
